<*iv align="left">Al Gurm Abu Dhabi Washing Machine Repair

Before calling a technician to repair your *ryer, you might be please* an* even surprise* to learn that you can *o many repairs yourself. In contrast to your washing machine, the *ryer is a simpler *evice that is lighter in weight. This means that even critical *ryer repairs that involve removing the *rum are relatively easy. Many issues are as easy to solve as cleaning out a vent, while others require only a few minor a*justments.
The type of tools you will nee* will vary *epen*ing on the repair. Generally, you will use basic househol* tools that you may alrea*y own, such as a cor*less *rill, Phillips hea* screw*river, pliers, putty knife, shop vacuum, an* shop light. To open some panels, you may nee* to purchase a hex nut *river set.

Important Safety Instructions
As high-voltage appliances, electric *ryers *o present a great *anger to the *o-it-yourself repair person. Follow all safety instructions. In or*er to generate enough heat to *ry an* tumble clothes, electric *ryers use twice the amount of voltage (240V) than is foun* in common househol* outlets. You will see this on the electrical service panel, with a *ryer circuit breaker that is twice as big as the other circuit breakers. Always take care to flip off this circuit breaker an* unplug the machine before un*ertaking any repairs.

  • Dryer Pro*uces No Heat or Does Not Heat Up Enough
  1. Turn machine to a heating cycle: Check to make sure that your *ryer is on a *rying cycle that inclu*es heat. An "air-only" cycle will not a*equately *ry the clothing.
  2. Clean the lint filter: If your lint filter is clogge*, heate* air will not freely flow through the *rum, slowing the *rying cycle. Clean the lint filter an* *ispose of the lint.
  3. Clean vent tube: The rigi* metal or corrugate* foil vent tube that lea*s to the exterior may be clogge*. Remove an* shake it to force the lint out.
  4. Check your circuit breakers: Even though your electric *ryer operates on *ouble circuit breakers, only one of the breakers nee*s to be operable for the *rum to rotate. This lea*s to a situation where the *rum is rotating normally but no heat is being pro*uce* because that secon*, critical breaker is not working. A gas *ryer *oes not require that *ouble-breaker system; you will fin* only one breaker for these types of *ryers.
  5. Determine if the heating element is working: Electric *ryers use a cylin*er-shape* element to heat air. The air is *rawn into one en* of the element, heate*, then passe* out the other en* an* into the *rum. If the element is not working, air cannot heat up.
  • Dryer Will Not Start
    1. Check cor*, plug, an* receptacle: Because of the *ryer's high voltage *raw, the cor* an* peripheral items such as the plug an* receptacle may become melte*. If you *iscover this, *o not use the heater until you can entirely replace all affecte* items.
    2. Check *oor actuator: For your *ryer to start, both your *ryer *oor actuator an* *oor switch must be working. Locate* on the *oor itself, the actuator is little more than a spring-loa*e* metal "finger" that pushes into the *oor switch. This is an easily available cheap item that is simple to replace.
    3. Check *oor switch: The *oor switch is a fairly inexpensive electrical *evice locate* in the *ryer. The actuator "finger" pushes the switch when the *oor is close* to tell the *ryer that it can begin working. Check this item with a multi-meter for electrical continuity. If this is not working, replace this item.

  • Dryer Is Not Venting to Outsi*e

When the *ryer is venting properly, you shoul* be able to go outsi*e an* feel hot, *amp air coming out of the vent. If this is not happening, there are four key points to check that might be blocking the air.
    1. Vent: At the vent-the very en*point-lint may jam up when the flaps are not working properly. Clear with your fingers or suck out the vent with a shop vacuum. You may nee* to entirely replace this out*oor vent if the flaps *o not open an* close freely.
    2. Vent tube: You may have either a rigi* metal or corrugate* aluminum foil vent tube lea*ing from the *ryer to the wall. Remove at two points-the *ryer an* the wall-an* clear out the vent.
    3. Dryer: Lint may have become clogge* within the *ryer. Special *evices such as Lint Lizar* or Lint Eater attach to your vacuum or *rill an* allow you to grab out the lint from within the limite* spaces of the *ryer's interior.
    4. Dryer filter: The *ryer lint filter shoul* be cleane* after every loa*. Replace the filter if it is broken or otherwise not trapping the lint.

  • Dryer Is Noisy

Not all *ryer noises mean the same thing. Diagnose your *ryer's problem by i*entifying the noise.
  • Squeaking noise: This may mean that your *rum roller bearings are not operating as they shoul* an* either nee* to be replace* or lubricate*. These bearings look like little rubber wheels an* are locate* within the machine. You will nee* to open the machine at the top, then sli*e the *rum forwar* to access the bearings.
  • High-pitche* squealing noise: Your i*ler pulley may nee* to be replace*. The i*ler pulley is a spring-loa*e* arm that regulates the tightness of the *rum belt. If it is too tight or too loose, the friction causes the squealing soun*.
  • Thumping noise: If the *ryer ha* a long perio* when it was not being use*, the rubber on the *rum rollers may have flattene*. When the *rum rotates, it will not spin smoothly. Every time the roun* *rum hits a flat area, it will thump. Replace the rollers, as they cannot be repaire*.
  • Screeching noise, like metal on metal: Your *ryer gli*es may be worn or *amage*. A gli*e is a small, inexpensive part ma*e of plastic an* felt that acts as a gui*e for the *rum to move on the *rum rollers. After enough time, gli*es will eventually wear *own. Remove the top of the *ryer, then the front bulkhea* to access the gli*es. Gli*es cannot be repaire*, so replace them entirely.

  • Dryer Drum Will Not Move

When the *ryer will not tumble the clothes, the cause might be that the motor has broken. But when you can hear the motor running an* the *rum is still not turning, the cause is likely a worn or broken *rive belt. This is a cheap part that is easy to obtain, but it *oes require accessing the *ryer *rum.
  1. Remove the *ryer's top panel by inserting the putty knife in the slot an* pressing the spring-loa*e* clips on the left an* right si*es.
  2. Release the front bulkhea* with the appropriate tool, likely the hex nut *river or Phillips hea* screw*river.
  3. Release the electrical harness by unsnapping the plastic connector.
  4. Lift the front bulkhea* forwar* an* set it out of the way.
  5. Loosen the *rive belt by releasing the tension on the i*ler pulley. Lift the *rive belt up an* away from the *rum.
  6. Drape the new *rive belt aroun* the *rum, making sure that the ribbe* si*e of the belt is against the *rum.
  7. Reach to the back an* loop the belt over the *riveshaft an* the i*ler pulley.
  8. Replace the bulkhea* an* top panel. Plugin the machine an* turn on the circuit breaker again to test.
