Washer issues
Does Not Dispense Detergent
If you have an automatic *etergent *ispenser there are two common issues that can cause this problem.

  • The *ispenser nee*s to be cleane* - Clean the *ispenser monthly with a cup of warm *istille* white vinegar. Pour the vinegar into the *ispenser an* run the washer thru a regular cycle. Any built-up resi*ue or clogs will be flushe* thru an* your *ispenser shoul* work as goo* as new.
  • Incorrect pro*uct - Using the right pro*uct can make all the *ifference in the worl*. If your washer was *esigne* for liqui* bleach, using a pow*er bleach can clog the *ispenser an* lines. Check your owners manual to fin* the type of pro*uct *esigne* for your unit.
Washer is Shaking an* Moving
It might seem alarming when your washer is making noises an* moving aroun*, but the solution is generally pretty simple. [فقط الأعضاء المسجلين والمفعلين يمكنهم رؤية الوصلات . إضغط هنا للتسجيل]
Not Level
If the floor isn't level your clothes washer will *efinitely jump aroun*. Many of the wash cycles, such as spin, can easily thru the unit into a shaking an* banging mo*e, an* if the washer is sitting on an uneven floor it will even a** to the movement.
Fortunately, this is an easy fix. Position the washer on a piece of 3/4" plywoo*. You can use shims if nee*e* to bring the plywoo* to a level surface, but usually the plywoo* will *o the trick. [فقط الأعضاء المسجلين والمفعلين يمكنهم رؤية الوصلات . إضغط هنا للتسجيل]
Washer Feet Improperly Positione*
Washing machines are *esigne* to be a*juste* to the floor surface so that they sit level an* *o not rock. The 2 front legs have a leveling mechanism with a lock nut to secure it in place. A*just each leg to the correct height an* tighten the lock to keep the leg from moving. There shoul*n't be any movement in the front 2 legs once they are set.
The back 2 legs may have the same *esign as the front or they may be self-a*justing. If they are self-a*justing, tilt the washer forwar* onto it's front legs so that the rear legs are roughly 3" in the air. Then set the unit *own to allow the legs to automatically a*just.
Loa* is Unbalance*
If your laun*ry is off balance you'll nee* to open the washer an* a*just the loa*. You may nee* to make a couple of attempts in or*er to get it balance* again.
Washing too many clothes in a loa* can excee* the maximum loa* weight an* cause the washer to go off-balance. Check your owners manual for loa* size recommen*ations, but as a general rule, the clothes shoul*n't be packe* too tightly allowing them room to move freely.

Washer is Noisy
A noisy washer coul* be as simple as a foreign object being somewhere it shoul*n't, or it coul* be a clue that a part nee*s to be replace*. First rule out the simple fixes, which are liste* below, an* then rea* our extensive article on the causes an* solutions for a noisy washer.
Gurgling
A gurgling soun* coul* be an in*ication that something is obstructing the *rain line, but not enough to fully clog the hose. Remove the blockage to prevent it from becoming a full blown clog which will most likely cause a floo*.
Clicking
If you hear a clicking soun* you may have an object lo*ge* in the washer *rain. You may have ina*vertently misse* a coin or other item left in a pocket. Check your *rain an* remove any foreign objects. [فقط الأعضاء المسجلين والمفعلين يمكنهم رؤية الوصلات . إضغط هنا للتسجيل]
Buzzing or Humming
A foreign object may be lo*ge* in your pump if you are hearing a humming or buzzing noise. If an object fin*s it's way into the pump it's not uncommon for the pump to jam. You may nee* to replace your pump if there was serious *amage, but often just removing the object will solve the problem.

Washer Smells
It's not uncommon for a washer to *evelop a musty or mil*ew smell. This can occur either in or aroun* the appliance, an* it's an in*ication of mol* an* bacteria growth. The washer tub provi*es a perfect *ark, moist area for mol* an* bacteria to thrive.
All washers *evelop what is calle* a "bio-film" which is *ecaying matter that's always *amp. Some washers are more prone to this buil*-up than others. Over time it'll begin to smell an* if left untreate*, the smell can sprea* into your laun*ry. In worst case situations, it can even cause the laun*ry room an* other nearby rooms to smell. Rea* our article on how to remove this o*or from your washer.
A goo* habit to *evelop is to clean your washing machine every month, an* be on the lookout! Perio*ically check the area aroun* your washer for mol* or mil*ew. If your walls, cabinets or other areas show signs of mol* or mil*ew growth there may be an issue with moisture that nee*s to be a**resse*.
Detergent
  • Too much *etergent will create excessive su*s an* a *irty resi*ue will buil* within the basket an* other washer parts.
  • Use the correct amount of *etergent an* fabric softener. This is probably the best *efense simply because it's actually limiting the foo* supply.
Temperature
  • Hot water will help *issolve the layer of bio-film. A hot soak or wash on your final loa* can be a great preventative measure, especially if you prefer washing in col* water.
  • If you have a reoccurring mol* problem or you *on't use your washer frequently, you can run a secon* rinse cycle when you're *oing laun*ry to help prevent mol* an* mil*ew growth.
Drain Pump Filter
The *rain pump filter shoul* be cleane* once a month, but few homeowners perform this task unless there's a problem. Frequently coins an* other small items get caught in this filter an* cause the water flow to slow creating an i*eal location for mol* an* mil*ew growth.

Washer Won't Finish Cycle
This is an easy problem to troubleshoot. If your washer continues running even after the cycle shoul* have finishe*, it most likely means that the timer is *efective. Remove the control panel an* check the timer contacts for corrosion or scorching. A new timer will fix this problem.
